I KISS YOUR WORDS
|
And now, sweet Dee,
I kiss your words.
Sweet poetic gifts,
They speak to me
From the heart.
And I welcome them
To my heart.
But shortly,
I shall kiss
The sweet fingers
That have written them,
For my eyes,
And the sweet lips
That have spoken them
In my ears.
Hear and see
The words I give to you.
Do not look to other words
That speak elsewhere,
For these are yours alone,
Spoken to your heart.
As they come to you,
They comfort you.
So shall I
When I come to you
To bestow upon you
The kiss of greeting.
