HIDDEN LOVE

By Tex

My Hidden Love

A poem for my wife
by Tex

I hardly say I love you anymore
Still I wonder - why I seldom do
Love is something we never talk about
You wonder if I'm still in love with you,
Like when both of us were young 'n happy
I told you how I loved you every night
Did we think someday I wouldn't say it?
Whenever I was wrong and you were right
We would argue - tho God knew all our thoughts
Were stubborn like a couple teenage kids
Kids that wouldn't say we loved each other
And argued 'bout the stupid things we did
I was always sad, with you unhappy
Always as I read your troubled mind,
Will you understand my feelings for you?
Honey read the first word of each line.
