I KISS THE OCEAN
|
Jan 9, 1997I kiss the Ocean that we share,
And pray
To whatever Divinity that hears,
That the wind blow my kiss northward
Where you dwell,
Watching the wintry waves,
Thinking of me.
Soon the waves
Shall wash my kiss ashore,
And it shall come to you,
And beseech you
To receive it
Upon your sweet lips.
And I,
Here upon my island,
Shall dream of us together soon,
Warming each other,
Lovingly,
On the windy New England coast.
