YOU RISE

You rise when night casts her dark blanket over the land
You come to bestow upon me your sweet gifts
Full of grace and beauty
You approach with love and passion
Yet both are cradled in modesty.
You open your arms and your heart
You open your soul
And my heart melts,
Two strangers sharing the night are we
Sharing words,
And suddenly
Distances disappear
We come to each other
To dance to love's sweet melody
While blazing stars shine down upon this magic world.
