YOUR CARDS
|
Your cards arrive
And my heart smiles.
Loving words,
They speak for you;
Your affections,
Declared to me in thoughtfull sentiments.
I am covered,
As by a blanket,
By your loving words,
And am comforted by them.
So lie upon me as your words upon my heart.
Cover me and warm me with your lover's charms.
And I will also respond to you,
In like wise.
Words and caresses
I give to you
To warm and comfort you.
Your cards I keep and treasure,
In love.
For are they not
A VERY part of you?
When you are there
And they are here,
I have you,
Close to me.9-29-96
